We are an Aikawa Nanase tribute / cover band based in the Kansai region of Japan. Our lineup is a female vocalist plus guitar, bass, and drums (three musicians with long backgrounds in hard rock and heavy metal). Our concept is to bring the raw energy of 80s heavy metal and 90s J-ROCK directly into today’s live houses.

“Nanacopi” is a blend of “nana” (七 — the first character of 相川七瀬 / Aikawa Nanase) and “copi” (from コピー / “copy”, as in copy band). The trailing ⚡️ (lightning bolt) is there simply because it looks metal.

There’s no strict line between the two, but generally a “cover band” focuses on reproducing the original songs as faithfully as possible, while a “tribute band” is built around respect for a specific artist and re-creates that artist’s image through song selection, arrangements, and stage presence. NANACOPI⚡️ is happy to be called either — our foundation is respect for Aikawa Nanase, and we add live-specific arrangements to every show.

We are not an official or endorsed band. We are fans of Aikawa Nanase — musicians who love her songs and perform them out of respect. We continue our activities in the hope that one day she’ll hear about us — and that we might eventually get to meet her in person.

We play mainly at live houses around the Kansai region. Regular venues include Live bar Roots'66, Cafe & Music Second Rooms, and THIRD STONE Fukushima in the Osaka / Kyoto area. See the live schedule page for upcoming shows.

At this time, NANACOPI⚡️ doesn’t release or perform any original material. We focus entirely on re-creating Aikawa Nanase’s songs in a live setting.
